All comments welcome!! It is how I get my questions answered. ~Good Morning~ So I am feeling very convicted today. I feel incredibly quilty for something. I don't even know if I should feel convicted, but I am happy to be feeling conviction. Does that make any sense???? 5 Those who mock the poor insult their Maker; 8 A bribe is like a lucky charm; 18 It's poor judgment to guarantee another person's debt 27 A truly wise person uses few words; 28 Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; 11 The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; 16 Giving a gift can open doors; 18 Flipping a coin can end arguments; 6 Many seek favors from a ruler; 14 Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, Today's Scripture: Proverbs 17-19:29 (New Living Translation) Proverbs 17 1 Better a dry crust eaten in peace 2 A wise servant will rule over the master's disgraceful son 3 Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, 4 Wrongdoers eagerly listen to gossip; 5 Those who mock the poor insult their Maker; 6 Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; 7 Eloquent words are not fitting for a fool; 8 A bribe is like a lucky charm; 9 Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, 10 A single rebuke does more for a person of understanding 11 Evil people are eager for rebellion, 12 It is safer to meet a bear robbed of her cubs 13 If you repay good with evil, 14 Starting a quarrel is like opening a floodgate, 15 Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent— 16 It is senseless to pay tuition to educate a fool, 17 A friend is always loyal, 18 It's poor judgment to guarantee another person's debt 19 Anyone who loves to quarrel loves sin; 20 The crooked heart will not prosper; 21 It is painful to be the parent of a fool; 22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, 23 The wicked take secret bribes 24 Sensible people keep their eyes glued on wisdom, 25 Foolish children bring grief to their father 26 It is wrong to punish the godly for being good 27 A truly wise person uses few words; 28 Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; Proverbs 18 1 Unfriendly people care only about themselves; 2 Fools have no interest in understanding; 3 Doing wrong leads to disgrace, 4 Wise words are like deep waters; 5 It is not right to acquit the guilty 6 Fools' words get them into constant quarrels; 7 The mouths of fools are their ruin; 8 Rumors are dainty morsels 9 A lazy person is as bad as 10 The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; 11 The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; 12 Haughtiness goes before destruction; 13 Spouting off before listening to the facts 14 The human spirit can endure a sick body, 15 Intelligent people are always ready to learn. 16 Giving a gift can open doors; 17 The first to speak in court sounds right— 18 Flipping a coin can end arguments; 19 An offended friend is harder to win back than a fortified city. 20 Wise words satisfy like a good meal; 21 The tongue can bring death or life; 22 The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, 23 The poor plead for mercy; 24 There are "friends" who destroy each other, Proverbs 19 1 Better to be poor and honest 2 Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; 3 People ruin their lives by their own foolishness 4 Wealth makes many "friends"; 5 A false witness will not go unpunished, 6 Many seek favors from a ruler; 7 The relatives of the poor despise them; 8 To acquire wisdom is to love oneself; 9 A false witness will not go unpunished, 10 It isn't right for a fool to live in luxury 11 Sensible people control their temper; 12 The king's anger is like a lion's roar, 13 A foolish child is a calamity to a father; 14 Fathers can give their sons an inheritance of houses and wealth, 15 Lazy people sleep soundly, 16 Keep the commandments and keep your life; 17 If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— 18 Discipline your children while there is hope. 19 Hot-tempered people must pay the penalty. 20 Get all the advice and instruction you can, 21 You can make many plans, 22 Loyalty makes a person attractive. 23 Fear of the Lord leads to life, 24 Lazy people take food in their hand 25 If you punish a mocker, the simpleminded will learn a lesson; 26 Children who mistreat their father or chase away their mother 27 If you stop listening to instruction, my child, 28 A corrupt witness makes a mockery of justice; 29 Punishment is made for mockers,
those who rejoice at the misfortune of others will be punished.
whoever gives one will prosper!
or put up security for a friend.
a person with understanding is even-tempered.
with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent
they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.
it gives access to important people!
it settles disputes between powerful opponents.
everyone is the friend of a person who gives gifts!
but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
than a house filled with feasting—and conflict.
and will share the inheritance of the master's children.
but the Lord tests the heart.
liars pay close attention to slander.
those who rejoice at the misfortune of others will be punished.
parents are the pride of their children.
even less are lies fitting for a ruler.
whoever gives one will prosper!
but dwelling on it separates close friends.
than a hundred lashes on the back of a fool.
but they will be severely punished.
than to confront a fool caught in foolishness.
evil will never leave your house.
so stop before a dispute breaks out.
both are detestable to the Lord.
since he has no heart for learning.
and a brother is born to help in time of need.
or put up security for a friend.
anyone who trusts in high walls invites disaster.
the lying tongue tumbles into trouble.
there is no joy for the father of a rebel.
but a broken spirit saps a person's strength.
to pervert the course of justice.
but a fool's eyes wander to the ends of the earth.
and bitterness to the one who gave them birth.
or to flog leaders for being honest.
a person with understanding is even-tempered.
with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.
they lash out at common sense.
they only want to air their own opinions.
and scandalous behavior brings contempt.
wisdom flows from the wise like a bubbling brook.
or deny justice to the innocent.
they are asking for a beating.
they trap themselves with their lips.
that sink deep into one's heart.
someone who destroys things.
the godly run to him and are safe.
they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.
humility precedes honor.
is both shameful and foolish.
but who can bear a crushed spirit?
Their ears are open for knowledge.
it gives access to important people!
until the cross-examination begins.
it settles disputes between powerful opponents.
Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars.
the right words bring satisfaction.
those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
and he receives favor from the Lord.
the rich answer with insults.
but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.
than to be dishonest and a fool.
haste makes mistakes.
and then are angry at the Lord.
poverty drives them all away.
nor will a liar escape.
everyone is the friend of a person who gives gifts!
how much more will their friends avoid them!
Though the poor plead with them,
their friends are gone.
people who cherish understanding will prosper.
and a liar will be destroyed.
or for a slave to rule over princes!
they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.
but his favor is like dew on the grass.
a quarrelsome wife is as annoying as constant dripping.
but only the Lord can give an understanding wife.
but idleness leaves them hungry.
despising them leads to death.
and he will repay you!
Otherwise you will ruin their lives.
If you rescue them once, you will have to do it again.
so you will be wise the rest of your life.
but the Lord's purpose will prevail.
It is better to be poor than dishonest.
bringing security and protection from harm.
but don't even lift it to their mouth.
if you correct the wise, they will be all the wiser.
are an embarrassment and a public disgrace.
you will turn your back on knowledge.
the mouth of the wicked gulps down evil.
and the backs of fools are made to be beaten.

June One
This speaks to me because. I judge! I know I shouldn't because I don't know other people's circumstances. I assume people are poor because they want to be and are not trying hard enough. But look at me. I lost my job and have not been able to get one for 2 years (PTL by the way I love being with my girls). Also I struggle when people fail sometimes I am a little bit happy because I fail and it makes me feel not alone. I know how horrible right!!! I never said I would sugar coat myself.
Huh? Bribes are bad….
More about co-signing.
This is a God Spank for me. I have a very bad case of lil' foot big mouth syndrome.
I am confused. Why would being rich mean your bad? If God blesses someone with riches? (p.s. I wonder if Joes Osteen ever uses this scripture {insert "oh" face} )
Huh? Isn't this promoting bribery?
Huh? Does this mean agree to disagree?
Huh? Again, bribery??
I sometimes pray for my girls future husbands. I totally forgot to pray for my girls to be prepared to be good wives.
